2000 Words of Faust

Goethe's Faust, I finally read it, this is the third book of my reading plan this year. After reading this book, I gasped. This is not only because the book is as thick as a brick, and it is daunting, but also because there are many things in the book that I do not understand well. Fortunately, there is a little clue about the brief Faust written by Guo Moruo when he finished translating this book. Now I will write out my post-reading feelings and share with you this great work that was born in the early 1830s and has had a huge impact worldwide.

The storyline of Faust is roughly this: The old Goethe was distressed in the medieval study, and went out with his disciple Wagner, and met a black mastiff. It turned out that the mastiff was transformed by the demon Miferst Gangles who descended from the sky. He made a bet with God and first became Faust's servant to relieve Faust's heart. If Faust is satisfied, Faust cannot become the master, but rather the demon. So Mi Feist turned the black coat into a floating cloud, carrying Faust to travel around the world with him to complete his carefully designed tasks.

They first came to a hotel in Lepuzi and participated in some pranks of boring college students. Then he was introduced to the Witch's Kitchen, took a dose of magic soup, so Faust returned to old and young, and became young. Then fell in love with poor Magan, and gave birth to an illegitimate child. Magan drowned her illegitimate child, and she was eventually thrown into jail. After Faust passed the secluded life of a forest cave and experienced another night of Wap's Jis, he finally entered the jail and tried to save Magan tears. Magan couldn't bear her tears and was sentenced to death. The first part comes to an end.

The most difficult part of the story lies in the second part. Between reality and illusory, Faust woke up, came to a beautiful place, and felt a hundred times more spiritual. He went to meet the emperor, who was shameless, thinking about happiness all day long. The emperor wanted to see the ancient beauty Helen, but Helen really came. In the performance of the Knights Hall, Helen and Paris were in love. Faust was jealous and touched the keys of magic to Paris. The elves exploded and turned into smoke, Faust collapsed and lost consciousness.

The stage returned to the first medieval study, with all the furnishings intact. Here, the students who had previously been taught by Mister Fest are now bachelors, but now they have been reprimanded by Mister Fest. Faust's disciple, Wagner, guarded the medieval alchemy, created artificial people there, and blatantly created a young man named He Mongolian Rushi. But he could only curl up in a glass bottle, and he could not degenerate out of it. On the night of the classical Wap couple, He Mongolian Rush wanted to metamorphose and develop, hoping to let go of his lust and smashed the glass bottle, flickered, burned, and then turned into a flame and disappeared!

Faust pursued Helen. Under the guidance of Mephisto, he finally succeeded and gave birth to a son named Ou Fuliang. He was a genius, unscrupulous, chasing young girls, and flying for war, but ended up in the air and destroyed. Helen also died of grief, and at the same time brought Faust into the air.

In the air Faust talked to Memphis and said he wanted to reclaim the sea. Faust helped the extravagant emperor, and the emperor gave him the ground along the coast, and asked him to reclaim the sea. The reclamation was successful. There was an old couple on the land where the reclamation was successful, but Faust was dissatisfied that they were sitting in this old-style chapel, so he wanted to exchange them with a new house and land, but the two old men refused. Faust asked Mephistre to drive them away, for his arrogant attitude horrified the two old men. Faust was sorrowful for this, and sorrow was blown into his eyes, making Faust blind. At the moment when he fell down, he felt contented because of the act of exploring territory, and shouted that you are so beautiful, please stay! According to the contract, he has to own the Memphis, but the Celestial The emissaries rescued Faust. In heaven, when she encountered the tears of Magan, she had to guide him by heart. The Supreme One in heaven is a Virgin of Light, and Goethe finally shouted out: the eternal woman, leading us to go. The show is over.

This is the general story of Faust. After watching the complete play, I had to admire Goethe's superb writing skills. He mixes reality and illusory, ancient and modern, so cleverly, it is truly amazing. Secondly, Goethe spent 60 years before and after writing this play. It started with Goethe ’s original Faust when he was 25 years old in 1773, and went on to complete the first Goethe Faust in 1806. Goethe's Cyclonus breaks through. The second part of Goethe's writing began when Goethe was 49 years old in 1797, and the writing of the second part was not completed until 1831, a year before Goethe's death. From the age of 25 to 83, this work accompanied Goethe from his youth to his prime and old age. The span of the period is the second reason I have to sigh. Because of this great and magnificent work, Goethe's immortal status in the world of literature and art was established.

At the same time, I also pay deep respect to Mr. Guo Moruo, the translator of this work. Guo Lao began to translate this work during the Chinese May 4th Patriotic Student Movement in 1919. At that time, Guo Lao was 28 years old. At that time, the social situation in China was very similar to Goethe ’s Cyclonus Movement. Finish the first part of Faust. Twenty years later, in 1947, when Guo Lao was 56 years old, he translated the second part of Faust. From 28 years to 56 years, the time span is almost thirty years. The translation of a work turned out to have taken almost 30 years, which is the first reason that I have deep respect for Mr. Guo Moruo. Secondly, in the process of translating this work, in order to get closer to the meaning of the original text, and sometimes for the correct translation of one or two lines of verses, it took even half a day of Guo's hard work, which can be imagined. No wonder Guo Lao will be seriously ill when translating this book. The time and energy spent by translators is beyond our imagination. This is the second reason I have deep respect for Lao Guo.

After reading such a magnificent masterpiece of Faust, there are obviously places I don't know much about. Guo Lao suggested that friends who speak German should read the original and the Chinese version together. Unfortunately, I do n’t know anything about German. At the same time, I do n’t know much about Western history and ancient Greek myths. Although there are so many flaws, it does not hinder my love for this great work, because it is indeed a great work written by a great man, and then translated by everyone like Guo Moruo, so that I cherish my reading timing and motivation now. I also believe that even after decades, when I am old, I will go through this book at any time like Goethe and Guo Moruo, and find my spiritual pillar in reality and romance.

With pilgrimage-like enthusiasm, let us experience the shock of our soul with this great work! Not only now, but also in the future when we are all old.

2000 Words of Faust

Faust is the most obscure book I have ever read. The poetic philosophical tragedy "Faust" is the most important masterpiece of the great poet, writer and thinker Goethe. It is listed as one of the four masterpieces of European literature with Homer's epic Iliad, Dante's Divine Comedy, and Shakespeare's Hamlet. The protagonist Faust is a 16th-century German history book and folklore figure. He is a master of hexagrams, sky signs, witchcraft, and alchemy. In "Faust", Goethe successfully shaped the images of Faust and the devil Mephisto based on this folk tale, showing a history of the development of the bourgeois spiritual life during the rise of capitalism.

Faust's image reflects Goethe's deep insight and grasp of human nature, human spiritual connotation and realm. The duality of Faust's character that he shaped put him between God and the devil, with both divinity and demon. If he constantly pursues knowledge and truth, pursues good things, and pursues lofty ideals, he will rise to the realm of spirit; if he desires pleasure, has no ambition, is mediocre, and is obsessed with it, he will fall into magic , To fall. Goethe believes that the dual gravity of sinking and aggressiveness is not equal to Faust's. His divinity is stronger than magic. His essential and dominant side is self-improvement, forging ahead, never being satisfied, and positive. This is the so-called "Faust Spirit".

But Goethe didn't despise the role of magic in Faust's pursuit. Goethe first acknowledged that magic can only be overcome temporarily, but cannot be eradicated permanently, because it is tolerable. The word of God in Faust actually reveals the wisdom of Goethe's wisdom: "Man must struggle, and mistakes are inevitable." Goethe also saw that the devil and the divine nature are relatively interdependent, so it is absolutely necessary. Faust's life was a process of conflict between divinity and magic. His enterprising and unsatisfactory spirit was his internal motivation for ascension. Mephisto used the magic of Faust to seduce him to fall. However, Faust's deity enabled him to learn lessons and overcome obstacles. It is in this dialectical development that Faust's spiritual connotation is getting deeper and deeper.

The end of Faust is bright. Faust shouted, "You are so beautiful, please stay for a while!" On the surface, he was satisfied, and he was ready to enjoy it. Mephisto therefore wanted to take away his soul, but God sent an angel to Faust The soul of virtue has been brought to heaven, because "everyone who is self-improving will be saved in the end," it is indeed a reward for God's diligence, and God applauds it. In this case, why is Faust still regarded as a tragedy? This is mainly because Goethe believes that there is no end to the pursuit of perfection, but the life of an individual is limited. Faust gained two lives, and this life is still limited, so it is impossible to reach the ultimate goal. The five stages of his exploration are far from exhausting human spiritual life.

Human spirit is easy to slacken and covet, so God created the devil to awaken and forge ahead. To Faust, the devil is not just a seducer, he also plays a role of urging and alerting. The devil said that he "has always wanted to do evil but always promoted goodness, and I am part of this kind of power." He was subjectively tempting Faust to fall, but objectively played a role in pushing Faust forward. In this sense, Mephisto is another form of externalization of self in Faust, or Mephisto and Faust together constitute the duality of human nature, and even the duality of God. In short, the two complement each other and complement each other to make perfection complete.

Faust loves learning very much: "Ah, I am tireless. I have thoroughly studied philosophy, law and medical code, and unfortunately theology. He is even a man who pursues perfection:" Heaven, he Wanting the most beautiful stars, on the ground, he was looking for the highest joy. "He gave up on himself in order to learn:" For this reason, I wanted to succumb to the magic. With the help of the spirit, the power of the ghosts, see if I can know some mysteries; so I do n’t need to sweat and talk about myself ... "" He was so excited about the unknown, and the books gave him strength and hope. He felt inadequate about his knowledge, disappointed that he could not lift the mystery of nature ... his love of learning had already been Reached the point where they could not help themselves.

"If anyone keeps working hard, we will help him." Goethe said that Faust's secret to salvation is in these lines. Faust's body had a vitality that made him increasingly noble and pure, and before he died, he was saved by the eternal love of the upper world.

Yes, Faust could not only be saved, but also because he constantly acted, pursued, overcome confusion, and finally set foot on the right path. His spirit is upward, and this is what we should learn. Also learn his pursuit of learning, love of learning, hope of learning. We must be good at learning, happy to learn, love to learn, and we are the progressive people.

Faust's body was destroyed, but his spirit was saved. A person who acts, a person who is motivated, a person who keeps introspection and eventually goes on the right path will eventually be rescued. This is the spirit of continuous pursuit and the true spirit of life embodied in Faust's image.

2000 Words of Faust

The poetic tragedy "Faust" is Goethe's representative work. The creation of this novel lasted for 60 years, condensing the crystallization of Goethe's ideology and the wisdom of artistic exploration, setting a monument for German and world literature. It is listed as one of the four masterpieces of European literature with Homer's epic Iliad, Dante's Divine Comedy, and Shakespeare's Hamlet. Faust composes a history of soul development and a history of spiritual development with its profound and ideological value and its distinctive artistic characteristics. Faust is both a poem of modern philosophy and a modern philosophy of poetry. The artistic conception of the new world view and life view is the precious spiritual heritage left by Goethe to future generations. Among them, the Faust spirit gives us great inspiration and strength.

(1) Misery

People living in this world will encounter endless suffering. Dao Dao said: Happy one day, sad one day. Zhang Ailing said: Life is so short and suffering is so long. It can be seen that no one in the world can exist without suffering. Each family has its own sorrows, and each family has its own problems. After reading Faust, I feel that a great work has its own greatness.

This work not only has distinctive artistic characteristics, but also has high ideological value. Today Faust's spirit can still give us a lot of life inspirations. It is human wealth across time and space.

In the work, the demon Mi Fist and God take Faust as the object of the bet. The devil believes that human beings must fall, representing evil, and forming a contradictory unity with God's good. God believes that human beings are constantly developing. As a representative of evil, the image of the devil is of great significance. None of us in life want to have him, but he exists objectively in our lives. The existence of everything in the world has its meaning. He and God formed a unity of contradictions, and in the contradictory movements of affirmation and negation, perfection and wickedness, Faust continued to advance in his life. Mi Fister laughed at everything and denied the value of life, while Faust insisted on the pursuit of truth and affirmed the meaning of practice. The role relationship between the two of them justifies a dialectical explanation of the role of evil forces in our lives and in human society as a whole. Since suffering exists, it naturally has its value. Being a man, I long for my wishes to be fulfilled, and my life is safer and happier. But thinking alone is not enough. It must be put into action, and there must be obstacles in this way. If Tang Sanzang wanted to get the true scriptures, he would have to go through 1989. Athletes want to achieve good results, they must go through their own continuous exercise and hard work. If you want to go to the ideal university, you have to go through a lot of hardships. In short, we must encounter obstacles in the process of doing something and realizing some aspirations. Suffering has become an essential element in each of our lives.

(Two) suffering

Suffering is unrelenting, so how can we face it and solve it? Tolstoy said: When suffering comes, some people follow the sky, and some people can't afford it. Do you want to be a brave man who soars into the sky and seeks the truth, or is he willing to shrink back and fall back before the difficulties?

Voltaire said: Without going through great difficulties, there will be no great cause. Faust's spirit also reveals us: in the face of difficulties, we must not abandon or abandon our beliefs, be aggressive, optimistic, and do our best to strive for success. How can I see the gorgeous rainbow after the rain without experiencing wind and rain, and when suffering encounters, learn to face it bravely and accept the trial of suffering bravely, so that we can achieve our great cause, even if it is unsuccessful, it will also realize its own value . In the end, you will be ashamed to say that this time, I have not come here in vain, I have truly lived and struggled. In Faust, Mi Fister said: If there is suffering and then luck, the fools have no idea; if they have the stone of the wise, if they get it, the wise will be thrown away. This sentence also truly reflects the special significance of suffering for a person's successful growth.

Goethe said: Please remember everything that pain has left for you! As soon as suffering passes, it becomes sweet. China ’s wise man Mencius said: “If the heavens will descend to the people of Sri Lanka, they must first suffer their minds, strain their bones, starve their skin, empty their bodies, and do whatever they want, so they will be patient and gain what they cannot. Countless sages have warned us that suffering is important to our lives, and they have inspired us to accept the sufferings of life or dreams. After suffering, happiness must be. The great ideological value of Faust is also reflected in that Goethe made a profound review and summary of the spiritual development of the emerging bourgeoisie through symbolic methods through Faust's pursuit of several stages. The tragic nature of Faust shows that the ultimate good is inexhaustible, and the pursuit of human ability, that is, the external life is limited. But his spirit fully affirmed the practical significance of reality, reflected the long and tortuous path of life road exploration, and reflected the wisdom of struggle to nature, society and life. Let's imagine that if he is eager to enjoy, has no ambition, is mediocre, and cannot be awakened by his obsession, then he will fall into the magic path and fall to the devil.

I especially appreciate the words Faust said in the book: I want to jump into the times of the times, I want to jump into the wheels of the times; I do n’t even ask about pain, joy, failure, and success. Men ’s career was originally day and night Non-stop. Although Faust is a tragedy, his essential and dominant side is self-improvement, forging ahead, never being content, and motivated. The positive attitude towards life and the aggressive spirit of pursuit and pursuit reflected in him are worthy of our study.

(Three) the road to heaven

If anyone keeps working hard, we will help him. Goethe said that the secret of Faust's salvation is in these lines. We must learn well, learn well, love to learn, and be a positive person.

Faust's body was destroyed, but his spirit was saved. A person who acts, a person who is motivated, a person who keeps introspection and eventually goes on the right path will eventually be rescued. This is the spirit of exploration in the pursuit of the true meaning of life in Faust.

Each of us will encounter various inescapable problems in our pursuit of life. We must choose, and we are constantly pursuing. We are constantly striving for self-reliance. We have the courage to practice.

There are still some things in the works that have given me great inspiration and reflection. For example, the student in the article said, "I want to invest in learning happily, how can I be blinded with learning, sir?" Said Meister. I do n’t have to go far and ask, how do you choose a course? Student: I expect to be a poet The book wants to study both geography and astronomy, while studying humanities and nature.

Melfist, you have a good idea, but you are too romantic. You have to learn how to restore and classify. Sometimes I have similar confusion. I want to know everything, I want to know everything. Be a full-fledged poetry book and know everything. As a result, he was so busy that he couldn't do anything in the end. We are all ordinary people, we learn things and do things, and time and energy are limited. Don't think of everything too beautiful and romantic, you should objectively evaluate yourself and face yourself. In addition to the scientific knowledge required to learn well at the student stage, others learn selectively based on their own interests and hobbies. They can't be so far-reaching, or they will only end up losing money. In the process of learning, when encountering problems and doubts, we must learn Faust, and be aggressive, self-improving, and open-minded to learn from the wise. This is the rational way of learning, and we will have a full and happy life. After some ordeal and some life experience, whether it succeeds or not, the gate of heaven's happiness will open to you.

In my spare time, I can read "Book of Ren'an An", "Ai Ling Whispering", "If Give Me Three Days of Light", and learn from Sima Qian, Zhang Ailing, Helen Keller, Shi Tiesheng, An Yiru, etc. Does not exist, but the door to success and happiness will open to you!
